The Collier Building Industry Association (CBIA) presented 27 overall excellence in construction design and merit awards at its Multi-Site Parade of Homes (POH) awards reception held Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Hilton Naples.
The 2020 CBIA Parade of Homes will be hosted Friday through Sunday, March 13-15 and 20-22 from 10:00am – 5:00pm on Friday and Saturday, and 12:00pm – 5:00pm on Sunday. The Mediterra models will only be open on Saturday and Sunday.
The 2020 Parade of Homes offers 54 fully decorated model homes constructed by 18 of Southwest Florida’s premier homebuilders located throughout 30 different communities.
“Southwest Florida features some of America’s finest home builders, and the awards given in each category are well-deserved,” said CBIA Executive Vice President Kathy Curatolo. “Each model home entry was considered based primarily upon construction quality and innovation, as well as special features incorporated throughout the home and techniques used, while also taking into account factors such as architecture, outdoor configuration and landscaping, and price point.”
Individual judging sheets sanctioned five sections (exterior, interior, livability/workmanship, floor plan and outstanding feature) with suggested scoring for each section on a scale of (1) Poor to (5) Excellent. Each section included key features to consider such as overall architectural design, outdoor planning (landscaping, decks, pool, lighting) and notable special design features.
CBIA’s annual Parade of Homes recognizes homebuilding excellence within communities located from Marco Island to Estero. These neighborhoods showcase fully decorated models nestled within their communities, each providing uniquely designed amenities for the homebuyer. The communities featured in the 2020 Parade offer an array of selections, whether guests are searching for a new home or simply enjoying the day touring some of southwest Florida’s most luxurious residences.
