This is a full-time on-site role for a Production Manager at Wilson Creative Group, Inc. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production operations, managing project timelines, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality projects. The role involves working closely with the creative team and other departments to deliver exceptional creative and marketing projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule, produce, and deliver all agency work on time.
- Supervise in-house Account Executives (AE’s) for timely and accurate job submissions.
- Collaborate with the Creative Department to ensure timely job completion.
- Work with the Traffic Manager to assign and adjust schedules.
- Coordinate with suppliers and freelancers to provide necessary services.
- Conduct daily lineups with the Creative Department to review job statuses and workloads.
- Communicate with the Account Department to resolve questions or concerns related to tasks.
- Price all agency services by calculating in-house costs and requesting estimates from outside sources.
- Obtain the best value (quality, price, and delivery) for all agency projects.
- Prepare agency project estimates and issue purchase orders upon acceptance.
- Ensure supplier costs match the prices given on purchase orders.
- Prepare and update the computerized weekly production status report daily (if no Traffic Manager is available).
- Open jobs and prepare client estimates based on briefings from Account Managers and Account Coordinators.
- Obtain competitive quotes from outside suppliers.
- Supervise work completed by suppliers (artists, service bureaus, photographers, printers, production studios, etc.).
- Proof internal and external work to ensure it meets requested specifications.
- Follow up with suppliers to meet promised delivery dates.
- Forward copies of purchase orders and approved invoices to the business office.
- Check invoices and settle billing discrepancies with suppliers.
- Oversee and/or complete all tasks of the Trafficking Manager.
Qualifications
- Strong project management, operations management, and production planning skills.
- Experience in coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of print production processes and digital advertising.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience in the marketing or advertising industry is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field.
