Wilson Creative Group appoints Copy Director
Wilson Creative Group (WCG), a full-service advertising and marketing agency, has appointed Robert Armstrong to the position of copy director.
Armstrong rejoins WCG after previously working as a creative writer with the agency for several years. In this role, he is responsible for developing highly effective marketing communications and advertising messages for a wide array of clients; developing online and offline content for advertising campaigns; designing campaign strategies; writing marketing communications and advertisements, including website content, direct response, radio / television / print ads, email blasts and printed marketing collateral; as well as creative conceptualization, and strategic direction.
“Robert is a natural storyteller who has developed many successful multimedia campaigns for a wide array of brands in industries such as finance, insurance, law, real estate, tourism, consumer goods, retail and hospitality,” said WCG CEO and President Peggy Wilson. “He is a trusted resource to our creative team, and his award-winning taglines and ideas have already helped brand many of our clients.”
Armstrong brings more than 27 years of brand communications and copywriting experience for global and national brands including Comcast, Dunkin’ Donuts, New York Life, NBC Universal, and QVC, as well as numerous local and regional brands. In addition to prior tenure with the WCG team as a freelance writer, he previously served as a creative director for a leading Southwest Florida advertising, marketing and branding firm.
A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Armstrong is a graduate of Stanford University, Stanford, CA, with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and Spanish.
