John R. Wood Properties recently celebrated its top performing associates and increased written contract volume of $1 billion over 2019 during a virtual awards ceremony held Thursday, March 11, 2021.
The luxury real estate leader in Collier and Lee counties, the company reported 2020 written sales volume of $3.65 billion. With 2,467 closed listings and 2,863 new listings in 2020, its 650+ agents sold more listings and represented more sellers in southwest Florida than any other firm.

The company’s top award winners include:
- The Earls | Lappin team (Bill Earls, Larry Lappin, Aaron Earls) of the Central Office received the President’s Award for the highest sales volume throughout the company in 2020. They achieved an incredible $207,183,000 in closed sales for the year.
- Jim and Linda Mayer of the Fifth Ave. South Office, and Marv Needles of the Marco Island Office, each received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Lifetime Achievement Award winners have been an integral part of the company for a minimum of 10 years. Recipients provide an example for successful business performance and deliver exemplary customer service. These individuals give back to the local community while also serving as role models, mentors and friends to their colleagues. Recipients of this award are inspirations who define the term “consummate REALTOR® professional.”
- Cheryl Turner of the Fifth Ave. South Office was honored with the company’s Above and Beyond Award. Turner is a key influencer who enthusiastically embraces new business concepts and company programs. She is a cheerful, courageous team player and exceptional real estate professional, fiercely loyal and as dedicated to the success of others as to herself.
- Cynthia Crawford Holt of the Ft. Myers Office and Samantha Leigh Ford of the Fifth Ave. South Office were both honored with the Rising Star Award. Rising Star Awards recognize newly-licensed agents who achieved high sales volume in the company during their first full year of real estate sales.
Additionally, 32 John R. Wood Properties REALTORS® were honored with Diamond Awards for achieving closed sales of $20 million and over; 74 received Emerald Awards for closed sales ranging from $10 to $20 million; 80 individuals were recognized with Platinum Awards for achieving closed sales of five to $10 million; and 57 received Gold Awards for closed sales of three to five million dollars.
