Palm Island Resort, a unique 130-acre vacation hideaway on Florida’s West Coast, between Sarasota and Fort Myers, has awarded agency-of-record duties for its advertising account to Naples-based Wilson Creative Group (WCG).
WCG picked up the account after a formal review of several agencies according to Palm Island Resort general manager and tourism veteran Rick Brunette.
“WCG is a valued strategic business partner with a history of pushing the boundaries of traditional strategy and creative,” said Brunette. “After a thorough review, we were very impressed with WCG’s understanding of our brand, mission and culture. They demonstrated provocative creative thinking and a deep understanding of what makes us different. We look forward to partnering with WCG to take our brand to new heights,” he added.
As agency-of-record, WCG is responsible for developing the overall brand strategy, creative, media, digital deliverables and providing public relations support to build market share across the country for the barrier island resort, its real estate division Palm Island Properties, Leverock’s Seafood and Rum Bay restaurants.
“Palm Island Resort’s brand heritage, commitment to the environment, and quality services provide the perfect platform for a new approach to growing the brand,” said WCG founder and president Peggy Wilson, adding a new campaign is underway. “As a native Floridian and frequent visitor to the island, I understood the tone, marque appeal and unwavering client-first culture,” she continued. “Our agency is beyond excited to help Palm Island Resort tell its ‘best-kept secret’ brand story to new markets and consumers. Their client-first culture is the very foundation of a powerful story we’re eager to begin sharing.”
