WCG Welcomes Summer Interns

Season may be over in Naples but it’s as busy as ever here at Wilson Creative Group. Summer at WCG comes with in-depth planning sessions, collaborative internal meetings, and eager summer interns!

This summer, we are lucky to have two summer interns: Julia White and Savannah Christensen.
Born in Michigan and raised in Naples, Julia White is a rising sophomore at Florida State University. She is majoring in Marketing and has been shadowing Account Manager Katherine Jones. Julia has had the opportunity to be a part of client meetings and conference calls and has been working diligently on compiling and analyzing survey data to facilitate the creation of one client’s 2019 marketing and communications plan. “My favorite part of WCG is the amazing and friendly team and the fun and creative work environment,” says Julia. In addition to all of her hard work, she even created a World Cup bracket for everyone to complete.

Savannah Christensen was also born in Michigan, is a rising junior at Northwestern University. She is majoring in Journalism, interns in the marketing department of the career office at NU, and writes and designs for the student magazine North by Northwestern. To sum it up, she’s pretty impressive. “I love WCG. Everyone here is so nice and has been so welcoming. The work is really fun and I have really enjoyed it so far. Also, the dogs are super cute,” says Savannah. She has been working on designing logos for clients and taking and editing photos for press releases and client websites. We’re thrilled to have her helping and learning from our incredible design team.

President and CEO, Peggy Wilson greatly enjoys being able to give students a great learning opportunity. “The college interns are always extremely eager to learn from us and truly immerse themselves into agency life. The irony is, each year we end up learning valuable lessons from them as well.” says Peggy Wilson.
