NAPLES, FL (May 21, 2009) – Continuing a winning streak that began at the local level, Wilson Creative Group (WCG) has been awarded three ADDY Awards by The American Advertising Federation – 4th District. The advertising industry’s best and brightest were on hand for a gala presentation at the World Center Marriott in Orlando last week to celebrate outstanding work from throughout Florida and the Caribbean.
WCG garnered a Gold ADDY for their creativity on the “Naples Winter Wine Festival Special Event Invitation” (in the Collateral category) and two Silver ADDYS for “Naples Winter Wine Festival Special Event Announcement” (in the Sales Promotion category) and “Naples Winter Wine Festival 2008 Catalog” (in the Collateral category). Everything from TV and radio spots to print ads and viral campaigns received kudos, but of the over 1550 entries submitted to the District competition, only 109 won Gold ADDYs. Stated WCG President/Creative Director Peggy Wilson: “We are ecstatic about winning, particularly because at that level our work was being judged against several major marketing firms located all over the 4th District AAF whose entries were for some very impressive national clients.”
The next step? It’s an automatic entry into the National ADDY competition for WCG’s Gold ADDY. Winners will be announced at the AAF National Conference on June 6, 2009 in Washington, D.C.
